I am re-reading the Dhammapada again and will put here verses that speak to me in some special way on that given day.

However many holy words you read,
However many you speak,
What good will they do you
If you do not act upon them?

I found this particularly compelling today as I've been looking to deepen my practice and this is a reminder that practice is not just reading sutras, recitation, chanting, prostrations and the like. Practice is taking the Dharma with you at all times, every day, in all you do. Ritual is an important part of an individual practice but it means little if not used as a means to remind yourself to be present at all times, not just when in meditation.
